On Friday, August 1st, an update was sent to registrants that included inaccurate information. We deeply apologize for this and have included the accurate information in this update.
Due to an issue in the Seller Office system, some developers are having trouble updating Gear Apps in the Samsung GALAXY Apps Seller Office using the original Content IDs included in challenge their entries.
Please do not resubmit your Gear App with a new Content ID to the Samsung GALAXY Apps Seller Office. The Seller Office will not accept submissions with the same App Name, or the same APP ID, as a previous submission.
For developers who are receiving the error message, "The binary is invalid. You can register a Gear binary after selecting the gear platform,"when trying to update their Gear binary files in the Samsung GALAXY Apps Seller Office, please follow the steps below:
- Take a screenshot of the error you are receiving when trying to upload your new Gear binary file.
- Send an email before August 5th, 2014 at 5pm EDT with your App Name, Seller ID, original Content ID, and a screenshot of the error message to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
- The Samsung GALAXY Apps Seller Office will reach back out to you individually to continue the Certification process.
If your Content ID has changed since the submission period deadline (July 17, 2014 at 5pm EDT), Samsung will use your Seller ID and App Name to connect your challenge entry with your Samsung GALAXY Apps Seller Office entry. You do not need to resubmit a new Content ID to ChallengePost.
