Oben Up. Your Voice Matters!

OBEN is a free, anonymous, audio-based, social networking app that helps you OBEN up and speak freely. By speaking to OBEN on your Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch, you are also contributing to the community around you, where people's opinions, thoughts, experiences, wishes, and dreams come to connect and grow. The collection of your original voice is your secure personal diary which you can access at any time.

• Be heard and participate in discussions: Any place you go and any moment you really want to say something, simply speaking to OBEN on your Gear 2 along with a voice avatar to suit your mood and your voice will be anonymously heard and discussed within your social circles and local communities
• Help friends anonymously: Join and discover what is going on in the life and the mind of your friends without knowing their identity. Your comments on their posting from your circle will be posted anonymously.
• Grow friends and feel your influence. Grow your friend network by helping more people and feel your influence increase.

OBEN is all about how we can grow together with our friends by helping people and getting help from other people.

Oben downloads a simple host-side application on your Samsung smartphone which is used for user authentication as well as for communicating with the Wearable-side Widget which operates on your Gear 2.

In the upcoming release, users will have the option to download a more comprehensive integrated as well as companion app as well in order to fully use the full power of Oben. We can also share with you a comprehensive roadmap for the product for 2014-15. We plan on making weekly releases and updates hereon.

The Oben interface is currently available in English. Users can use it in the language of their choice. A Chinese interface is being added in an upcoming release as well. The voice filters can change your voice to make you and your identity anonymous irrespective of the language of your choice.

Oben is currently in stealth and operating out of IdeaLab in Pasadena. This entry into the Gearapp challenge is sorta like our coming out of stealth-party :-)
