Certification - Under Device Test

Hi,
App certificate show "Under Device Test" status for a long time.
I also expect Samsung to request some changes, but I can't take the chance and re-submit because it may miss the July 31 deadline.
Is it possible to request a faster feedback from the certification team?

    Hi tr2014,

    Thanks for your message and question. As you can imagine, we received a great response to the challenge and Samsung has many applications to review. Your application will be reviewed as soon as possible.

    Thanks for your patience!

    Hi Serena,
    I contact Samsung support and they said it will be complete by 07/28/2014.
    In this case there is no option to submit fixes as they will miss the 07/31/2014 deadline.

    Hi tr2014,
    when have you submitted your app? Is it standalone or integrated? I am waiting for certification complete as well.

  •   •   almost 12 years ago

    Integrated. Submit 07/16/2014.
    I think we should get one chance to make changes and resubmit, but Samsung say that the certification process require 7 business days.

    Yes, unfortunately.
    I Hope, certification will pass for the first time. Regards

    @tr2014
    Which date the "last updated" column shows in seller office?
    If status is "under device testing" then "last updated" will show the date at app entered device testing phase. It might be possible that app has spend more time in first phase of testing.

    Serena-

    Is there someone assigned from Samsung to ensure that everybody who is in the contest, and submitted everything on time (i.e. did everything right), gets a fair shake at completing this final certification process? Many of us worked a long time on our submissions and would be heartbroken to see our efforts die of bedsores in a bureaucratic purgatory.

    Murphy's law strikes at times like this. Even while following all the rules, many of our certifications were rejected for weird reasons*. And now we're left hoping our updates are accepted (and accepted on time).

    We appreciate your efforts in tirelessly dealing with all of us knuckleheads. But do you have a twin ambassador on Samsung's side to ensure this final certification process works smoothly?

    Nate

    (*) In my case it turns out they had some problems installing my apk on their version of android (additional security permissions were needed). So I fixed those errors (as confirmed on a phone matching theirs :)), and updated my seller office submission, but haven't heard back yet.

    @tr2014, @paulwedzik
    Guys did you get already contacted or any changes on your app status? I'm expecting in Under Device Test for a week now.

    My status changed to : "Under Test Confirmation". Don't know if it's good or bad.

    @tr2014 - That's the last step before either "Rejection" or "Approved for Sale" in my experience. It seems to usually last for about 24 hours in that state but unsure how the weekend may affect things.

    Hi Nate920,

    Thanks for your message and question. I'm sorry that you've had trouble during the Certification process. We are all thankful for the participation and patience of all of our submitters.

    Today, Samsung announced that they've extended the Certification deadline so that that all entries submitted to the Samsung Seller Office on time (by the deadline of July 17th at 5pm EDT) could be properly evaluated for certification. Please check out this update for the details: http://gearapp.challengepost.com/updates/1877-round-1-certification-period-extended

    Remember, the certification process includes checking to ensure that submitted apps run on devices with no errors, and the process may take one week or longer - so please keep this in mind when making updates.

    All the best,
    Serena
