Submit App without Certificate

Hi,

I still have not received my certificate. Can I submit my app without certificate and add it later after I get it?

Thanks.

    Hi turret,

    Thanks for your question! In order to be eligible for the competition you must have completed the following by the submission deadline - July 17th at 5pm EDT.

    1) Submitted your Gear App to Samsung Apps; and 2) Completed the submission form on the challenge site (http://gearapp.challengepost.com/submissions/new).

    For step-by-step videos about how to get your Gear App certified and submitted to Samsung Apps, please visit the Video Tutorials page: http://gearapp.challengepost.com/details/videos.

    Thanks and we look forward to seeing your submission!

    Hey turret - i had the same issue - three times attempted over 2 days to get a cert with no luck (php is a mystery to me) - so I've submitted it as is and will hopefully sort the cert in the next 2 or 3 days safe to still make it though certification by 31st.

    @macmorrison Any idea on how to update the app binary?
    Do I have to delete the entire app and fill up again?

    @turret
    Have you tried to clicked on "Re-Register Application" button???
    Double check the "content id" before and after this process. Please reply if it worked.

    Can you please tell me that where will I find it??

    @turret
    In Seller Office "My Application" tab, find list of your applications.
    There will be a button just after "Test Confirmation Rejected comment" in "Status -> Certification" column.
    Click on that button. A pop window "Reasons for Approval Rejection" will be opened.
    Scroll down at the bottom. There will be two buttons
    (1.) Re-Register Application
    (2.) Go To Support

    Click on "Re-Register Application" button.

    Done.

    Don't forget to reply your experience. May be your reply will help someone.

    Thank You.

    @turret
    Please tell me about status of your content id.
    Is it same as it was before?
    It must be same to be eligible for contest.
    Thank You.

    @turret
    I'm talking about 12-digit code "Content ID" which is written in leftmost column of table of application.
    Do you remember which "Content ID" was entered while submitting your application at "ChallangePost"?
    Is it same as the one which you can see now in list?

    @Jaydev
    No I dont remember...

    @Jaydev
    Do you know how to update the challangepost entry??

  •   •   over 8 years ago

    @turret
    ChallangePost entry is not editable/viewable after deadline.

    For "Content ID":
    Keep trying to make sure that both "Content ID"s are same and inform others.
    Perhaps you have added any link in "Where does your software live?" section here: http://challengepost.com/software/xratewidget-live-exchange-rate-clock-widget--2/edit

    FYI: Your app will get a unique link after certification. That link will contain "Content ID"
    e.g.: http://apps.samsung.com/mercury/topApps/topAppsDetail.as?productId=000000654678

    "Product ID"="Content ID"

    @Jaydev
    When I submitted in ChallangePost I was asked to upload a zip of the current binary. I uploaded.
    But now I have uploaded a new binary to seller office. So I need to change that zip file which I uploaded earlier.
    Know how to re upload the zip? Can't find any links.

    And about that app link I needed to give a dummy link to see if the other pages had any option to upload a new zip..

    Thanks.

    @Serena101 (Moderator) and @turret
    Good question turret.
    As ChallangePost entry is not editable/viewable after deadline Judges must judge latest version of app available after certificate deadline. I hope admins are aware of such situation and they don't reject the entry by judging old versions.
    I hope that judges will consider the latest version of app for judging.

    @Serena101 (Moderator)
    Is there any comment on how such situations will be handled?

    Hi Jaydev,

    Thanks for the question. I think this update (http://gearapp.challengepost.com/updates/1832-important-certification-process-faq) will be useful to you.

    The judges will review your submission to gearapp.challengepost.com (which cannot be edited after the July 17th 5pm EDT deadline), as well as the latest version of your Gear App that has passed certification via the Samsung Glaxay Apps Seller Office on July 31st.

    Hope this helps!
