Gear App <--> Windows Application

Hi,

Gear Apps which communicate with Windows Application can be eligible for the Gear App Challenge?

  Thanks for your question.

  A Samsung Gear Application, as defined on http://developer.samsung.com/samsung-gear, "consists of the Host-side Application which runs on Android-based Samsung mobile devices, and the Wearable-side Widget which runs on Tizen-based Samsung Gear devices."

  Per the official rules, "Participants must create (or have created) a working software application using the Samsung Gear Dev Tool available at http://developer.samsung.com/samsung-gear (an “Application”). The Application must run normally on a Samsung Gear 2 (or Gear 2 Neo) Device."

  Thus, Windows applications are not eligible for the challenge as they will not be able to connect to the Gear using the required Samsung Gear Dev Tool.
